Susan Bilar



I was raised in Asia and have lived there, in the US, and in Europe.

My father started collecting contemporary art already in the 50's, and throughout my childhood and adolescence I had the opportunity of being introduced through him and his connections to a number of artists, some of them revolutionary at the time, as well as of being guided through the major museums of the world.

While attaining a Masters' degree in international history from The London School of Economics (LSE), my interest  in learning about  the history of our western civilization also inspired  my interest in  art.

To complement my activities as a passionate collector of contemporary art, in 1987 I established my art related business.

I consult and deal in Contemporary Art and Modern Classics (20th century), guiding private and institutional clients on purchasing art work and building collections and / or helping them to optimize the selling of their works.

Other activities included arranging exhibitions on premises upon request of companies, estate sales, and arranging appraisals of art work.

I live in and work out of Switzerland.
